John Wesley Rhodes, 66, died Saturday at his home near here. He was the son of Oder Wisely and Jane Nixdorf Rhodes.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lena Rhodes of St. Elizabeth; four sons, Lester and John W. Rhodes Jr., both of St. Elizabeth, Robert Rhodes, Wichita, Kan., and Walter Rhodes of Eldon; four daughters, Mrs. Lucy Duncan, Rossville, Kan., Miss Blanche Rhodes, St. Elizabeth, Mrs. Ruby Robertson, Linnsburg, Kan., and Mrs. Clara Dusenberry of Eldon; three sisters, Mrs. Addie Wetlock, St. Elizabeth, Mrs. Effie Hix, Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Anna Brading of Tuscumbia.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the Mt. Zion Christian Church near Tuscumbia with the Rev. Lon Brown officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
