Youngest son of Stephen and Rebecca Parker. He removed to Meriden at an early age and became connected with his brother Charles and Mr. Heman White, in the manufacture of hardware, under the name Parker and White. Upon the dissolution of that company he associated himself with his brother John in the brass and iron-foundry business, and in the manufacture of coffee-mills and other hardware, under the name J. & E. Parker. When his health failed in 1865 he sold out his interest to his brother Charles.
He served as a city Selectman and also County Commissioner.
He married Jennette Bradley of Branford, and they had seven children.
