Mrs. Jimmie F. Lisenby, 48, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 1983, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA, after an extended illness.
Mrs. Lisenby, a lifelong resident of Chambers County, was born near Abanda on Aubust 6, 1935. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, serving as church treasurer for a number of years and a member of the Alabama Retired Teacher's System.
She is survived by her husband, James H. Lisenby; son, Mark Lisenby; parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. G. Fant; brother, Charlie Fant; five sisters; Inez Sims, Ruth Pinkard, Laura Fuller, Frances Hill and Resa Ison, all of Chambers County; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held Thursday, September 1, 1983, at 4:00 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church. Interment was in the Sims Cemetery. Rev. Carlis Brown, pastor of Shiloh Church and Rev. Jasper Jenkins of Lanett, conducted the service. Pallbearers were nephews.
