MANTACHIE-Jane Grimes, 71, died Sunday, January 28, 1996, at her home in Mantachie. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Earl McFerrin and Emma Brown McFerrin. She was a homemaker and a member of the Mantachie United Methodist Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with the Rev. Jack Williams and the Rev. Bob Welch officiating. Burial will be in the Stephens Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, George Manard Grimes of Mantachie, one son, George Grimes and his wife Julia of Fulton, one brother, Kenneth Earl McFerrin of St. Louis, Mo.; three sisters, Tommie Yielding and Dona Mae Nanney, both of Mantachie, and Bernice Sims of Bartlett, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Julie Grimes and Mark Grimes.
She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Grimes, who died in 1971, and a brother Billy Brown McFerrin.
Pallbearers will be Arthur Kermit McFerrin, Lester Brown, Earl Brown, Roy Brown, Joel Spradling and Horace Ray McFerrin.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.
