Retired merchant Dora Lemaster Adams, 87, died Friday, February 23, 2001, at Mountain Manor Nursing Home. Mrs. Adams was born November 10, 1913, in Magoffin County, to the late Luther and Sola Patrick Lemaster Wheeler. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Toy Adams, in May 1975; and a son, Billy Ray Adams. Surviving are one son, Roger Lee Adams of Paintsville; two daughters, Betty Lou Adams Baldridge and Barbara Faye Adams Auxier, both of Paintsville; and four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild. Funeral services were held Monday at Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel, with Bill Underwood officiating. Burial followed in Adams Family Cemetery at Salyersville. (She was interred in Salyersville but this cemetery Highland Memorial Park with husband Toy.
