Taylor James Brown LITTLEFIELD- Taylor James Brown, 13 year old son of Chuck Brown and Shonda Rogers Brown, went to fly high with Jesus Saturday, March 30, 2013 in Littlefield. He was born Feb. 12, 2000 in Vernon, Texas. Taylor was a 7th grader at Littlefield Junior High School and a fighting Wildcat, active in football and track. He enjoyed cruising his Harley around, riding his dirtbike, but most of all he loved flying. He followed in his father's and grandfather's footsteps, and had a deep love and appreciation for flying airplanes from a very early age. He also flew with the Littlefield Glider Club. Taylor was wise beyond his years, and accomplished more in his 13 years of life than many do in a lifetime. He had a huge heart, and just being in his presence brought a smile to anyone's face. He was a giver, whether it was anything he had to share, or if he was just giving out one of his famous bear hugs. Taylor was an amazing big brother, and a loyal friend. God chose to take Taylor home on Saturday, because He needed the best pilot to fly high in the Heavens with Him. Taylor leaves behind his father, Chuck Brown of Littlefield; mother, Shonda Brown of Lubbock; two younger brothers, Chris Brown of Littlefield and Halen Ruiz of Lubbock; paternal grandparents, Tom and Suzy Brown of Littlefield; maternal grandparents, Deborah Langwell of Amarillo and Ricky Rogers of Waco; paternal great-grandmother, Nell Brown of Littlefield; maternal great-grandparents, Sie and Glenda Rogers of Clifton, Texas; and too many friends, young and old, to mention. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday April 3, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Littlefield with Pastor Chris Downer officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Kyle Ray, Steven Smith, Terry Reber, David McGehee, Oscar Carlos Sr., Tommy Stansell and Cary Hanlin. Honorary pallbearers will be his closest friends, Jeremy Williams, JJ Rojas, Tyler Klein, Kellan Foster, James Henley, Isaiah Montes, Brannan Brown, Noah Rucker, Matthew Arce and Chris Douglas. Interment will follow at Littlefield Memorial Park with flyover honors by Taylor's pilot buddies, Clint Emery, Max Ellison, Avery Sollack, and Lynn Morrison, who will be flying Taylor's own plane as the missing man. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Legacy of Love Hospice in Littlefield. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield
