Celesta "Sis" Masuen, 94, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away Friday, March 29, 2013 at her home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars with Reverend Paul Eisle officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitation with the family present will be after 4:00 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2013 at the Carlsen-Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars with a 7:00 p.m. Scriptural Wake Service. Visitation will continue Tuesday morning at the church from 9:00 a.m. until service time.

Pallbearers will be Nick Masuen, Brad Masuen, Matt Masuen, Jesse Scheitler, and Elizabeth Masuen.

Celesta Mary Shearon was born October 15, 1918 in Le Mars, Iowa to Jack and Vera (Dominick) Shearon. Celesta, known to family and friends as "Sis", graduated from Le Mars Central High School in 1936. Sis was united in marriage to Richard "Dick" Masuen on May 14, 1946 at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars. She worked for Nate Gearke's market and was the night operator for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company. She and her husband Dick owned and operated the Club Debonair in Le Mars for many years. Sis also worked at Mount Drug and then Family Pharmacy for 17 years until her retirement.

Survivors include her husband Richard of Le Mars; a daughter, Becky Scheitler and her husband Bob of Le Mars; a son, Michael Masuen of Emery, SD; a daughter-in-law, Vikki Masuen of Le Mars; 5 grandchildren: Nick Masuen of Sioux City, Brad Masuen and his wife Denni of Kansas City, Matt Masuen and his wife Jade and their son Myles of Colorado Springs, CO., Jesse Scheitler of Rapid City, and Elizabeth Masuen of Omaha, NE., a brother, Del Shearon and friend Marian Dukat of Westminster, CO.; and 3 sisters-in-law, Marita Shearon of Le Mars, Leah Shearon of Sioux City, and Isabel Shearon of Sioux City; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Vera (Dominick) Shearon; 2 sons, Charles and Mark; a son-in-law, Steven Reinholdt; 5 brothers: John, Don, Robert (Rose), Sherman, and Wally (Lois) Shearon; and a sister, Maxine (Vic) Goerke.
