Services were held Saturday, April 11, 1970 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Steele for Mrs. Elizabeth Ardella Alexander. Rev. James F. McCrary officiated.
Mrs. Alexander was born December 11, 1876, in Hardin County, Tenn., and died April 8 at Winter Haven, Fla., at the age of 93.
She leaves one daughter, Mrs. Mary Frakes of Winter Haven, Fla.; three sons: Tom Alexander of Humboldt, Tenn., Homer Alexander, of Steele, and Robert Alexander of Searcy; two sisters: Mrs. Ada Bowling and Mrs. Bertha Meadows, both of Malden; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Robert, one daughter, Mrs. Pearl Bogard, and two sons, Vernon and Ernest Alexander.
Interment was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with the original German Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.
