Margaret "Peggy" Bessee, 67, of Moline, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013 at home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10am Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Sacred Heart Church, Moline. Visitation will be 4-7pm Monday at Rafferty Funeral Home, 2111-1st St A, Moline with an Altar and Rosary Society rosary at 3:30pm. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Memorials can be made to Alleman High School, Sacred Heart Church or B.V.M. Order of Dubuque.
Peggy was born February 17, 1946 in Moline, the daughter of Richard and Jean (Cullison) Sprung. She married Bill Bessee on January 16, 1965 at Sacred Heart Church in Moline.
Peggy was a 1964 graduate of Alleman High School. She retired from Hansen Larsen Dentistry, Moline.
Peggy was a lifetime member of Sacred Heart Church, Moline, the Alter and Rosary Society and she was a member of the National Hot Rod Association. She enjoyed her dinners with the girls of 64 Club, Sacred Heart Bible Study and Eucharistic Adoration. She loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Bill; daughter, Melissa Meier, Milan; sons, Scott (Teresa) Bessee, New Windsor and Michael Bessee (Caradox Kinomiya), Springfield, IL; grandchildren, Erica Bessee, Rachel Meier and Emily Meier; great grandson, Alex Kincaid; sister, Betty (Richard) Heaton, Boise, ID; brothers, Robert (Dottie) Sprung, Cottondale, AL and Richard (Pat) Sprung, Columbus, GA; 2 aunts, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; brother in-law, Bob (Nancy) Bessee Colona, IL; sister in-law, Dorothy Sprung, East Moline and her very best friend, Hallie "Buttons" Cowart, Coal Valley. She was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Sprung.
