Shelly had a real passion for her family and friends along with a great love for drag racing. She was a 3 time National Event Winner and Division 4 Champion in 2001 and 2003. Her successes also included Jeg's Allstars 2004 Champion, 8 Divisional Event wins and twice runner up at the U.S. National. This season she had already won Divison 4 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Opener at Houston Raceway Park. She was also awarded Driver of the Year for 2001, 2002 and 2003.
