David R. Meloy, 85, died Saturday at a Beloit hospital after a long illness. Mr. Meloy resided in this vicinity for 60 years before going to Beloit to make his home.
He was born in Oakdale. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Rhoades, Beloit, Mrs. John Batker, Verona, and Mrs. Carl Alme, Brooklyn; three brothers, Hiram, Los Angeles, Cal,; Ernest, Tomah, and Artell, Adams; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Booth Funeral home and burial was made in Oak Hall cemetery, town of Fitchburg, Rev. Oscar Stanke of Waterloo officiating.
