William Eugene Lombard, oldest child of Marjory J. and F. G. Lombard, was born in Waverly, September 25, 1857, and died in Chicago, Sunday, July 11, 1926, aged 68 years, 9 months, and 16 days.
He spent his boyhood in Waverly, later going to Jacksonville, where he lived for a number of years before going to Chicago, where he has made his home for the past thirty years.
His parents having preceded him in death, he is survived by two sisters, Caroline and Marjory Lombard, of Waverly, and two brothers, Joseph B. Lombard of Waverly, and Frank H. Lombard, of Kansas City, one niece, Mrs. Robert Etter of Waverly, and one uncle, George Harney, of Franklin.
The remains were brought to Waverly Monday afternoon and taken to the home of his sisters, Misses Caroline and Madge Lombard, and funeral services were held there Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock, in charge of Rev. C. M. Day, pastor of the Christian church.
Interment was in East cemetery.
