Services will be Friday for Santa Cruz resident Adele Billmeyer, who died Sunday at Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz. She was 94.
A native of Germany, Mrs. Billmeyer lived in Oshkosh, Wis. from 1917-1961. She then moved to Santa Cruz, where she has lived since. Mrs. Billmeyer loved working in her yard. She also enjoyed cooking, and made her own bread. Mrs. Billmeyer did needlework, and had knit several pairs of slippers for friends in the past few months. She also was an avid reader.
Her husband, Michael Billmeyer, died in 1967.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the mission chapel at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, 126 High St., Santa Cruz. Arrangements are under the direction of Norman's Family Chapel. Burial will be at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum.
