CALLAWAY, ELIZABETH HOPE BOLINGER
age 90, peacefully departed this life on February 20, 2008. She was born on May 27, 1917, in LaFollette, Tennessee. In the mid 1930's she relocated with her family to the Karns area, in West Knox County, when Norris Dam was built. Elizabeth was a Christian and a member of Grace Baptist Church in Karns for over 60 years. Elizabeth married her husband Groat Hutchison Callaway on July 7, 1937. They were married for 50 years until his death in 1989. Also preceding her in death were her parents, William Armstead (Armp) Bolinger & Mary Ann Hutson Bolinger, 11 brothers & sisters - William Isaac Bolinger, Effie Kathrine Bolinger, Hugh Edgar Bolinger, Sarah Love Bolinger Stout, Verdie Olive Bolinger Heatherly, James Vader (Jim) Bolinger, Lois Marie Bolinger, Hoyt Victor Bolinger, Fred Hutson Bolinger, Edward Ward Bolinger, & Rebin Bolinger, and son, Groat Morris Callaway Sr. She is survived by son, George Malcom Callaway & wife Rena; grandchildren, Groat Morris Callaway Jr. & wife Alicia, Mary Callaway Webster & husband Mitch, Tammy Callaway Smith & husband Shawn; great grandchildren, Michael & Katie Hazen, Lauren & Morris III Callaway, and Bruin Webster. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Saturday, February 23, 2008 at Weaver Funeral Home, 5815 Oak Ridge Hwy, Knoxville TN with services following at 8 p.m., Rev. Mark Braddom officiating. Internment service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 24, 2008 at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens, 160 Edgemoor Rd, Claxton, TN. Pallbearers: Don Reagan, Bill Bolinger, Von Bolinger, Wayne Bolinger, Mitch Webster, Chester Harper, Don Gordon, and Tom Roberts. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Grace Baptist Church building fund or senior adult bus ministry. Arrangements by Weaver Funeral Home. www.mem.com
