A funeral Mass for August Dominic "Gus" Barranco will be celebrated tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Anderson Street Chapel, Fort Jackson, by Chaplain Daniel McCaffrey. Final commendation and farewell prayers will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, with full military honors.

Mr. Barranco, 63, retired Army sergeant, of 3831 Webb Court, died yesterday in Moncrief Army Hospital.

Born in Cape Girardeau, MO, he was a son of the late Charley and Mary Sgarlata Barranco. He was employed with the Clemson Extension Department as a South Carolina State Lay Supervisor for meat inspection, an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 641.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Emma Grace Miller Barranco; a daughter, Mrs. Judith Lee Dobbins of Lugoff; a son, Charles Otto Barranco of Columbia; seven grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Antoinette Trojahn of St. Louis, MO; and a brother, Joseph Michael Barranco of Fort Walton, FL.

The rosary will be recited tonight at 7:30 o'clock at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel.
