RYBAKOWICZ - Aleksander Rybakowicz, beloved husband of Mrs. Teresa Rybakowicz of Calgary, passed away at the Rockyview Hospital on Tuesday, November 25, 1997, after a long struggle with cancer. Aleksander was born January 17, 1914 in Pinsk, Poland. He immigrated to Canada in 1949. Aleksander served in the Polish Army Second Corps during World War II. Besides his loving wife, Aleksander is survived by a sister Regina Sarnicki of London, England; a brother Zygmunt Rybakowicz of Poland. He is also survived by a sister-in-law Janina (Mike) Obrocki of Regina; four nieces, a nephew and their children. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at Our Lady Queen of Peace Polish Catholic Church (2111 Uxbridge Drive N.W.) on Friday, November 28, 1997 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Queen of Peace Polish Catholic Church (2111 Uxbridge Drive N.W.) on Saturday, November 29, 1997 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Jan Michalski, S.Ch. Celebrant. Graveside Service to follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Unit 74 at the Rockyview Hospital. In living memory of Alek Rybakowicz, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES "Park Memorial Chapel", 5008 ELBOW DRIVE S.W., CALGARY.
