BEALS – Marion Parker (Smith) Beal, 84, entered the joys of her Lord March 25, 2013, surrounded by her family at her home at Black Duck Cove. She was born Oct. 16, 1928, in Beals, daughter of the late Henry V. and Marjorie A. (Beal)Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Elmer; children, John and Joan Beal; granddaughter, Lisa Dow; "adopted" son, Mario; special sister, Eleanor Libby; many nieces and nephews.
A faithful member of Wesleyan Church for 53 years, she was active in all aspects of the church; a member of the board, church treasurer, president of the missionary society, leader of weekly prayer meetings and Sunday afternoon services at Jonesport Sunrise Nursing Home – a time she loved, a Sunday school teacher, and director of children's programs, and choir member. How she loved her church family. Singing for her Lord was one of her greatest joys. She wrote songs and poetry expressing her love for her savior. Her greatest pleasure in life was giving to and serving others, encouraging and lifting them with her cards and letters. She had an unconditional love for her family, her darling husband of 65 years, Elmer; children, John and Joan; and granddaughter, Lisa, were her pride and joy. She lived her life for her wonderful Lord and her precious family she adored.
