Cliff was a retired Division Claim Agent for CDX RR and was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II, serving in Germany after the war with the Nuremberg Trials.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Carolyn White Bowen; daughter, Cunthia B. Hodges and husband, John L. Hodges; son, Michael C. Bowen; grandson, Joseph Julian Hodges; granddaughters, Marie Bowen-Strouse and Christina Bowen Weatherall; three grand grandchildren; brother, Grady H. Bowen of Claxton and his daughter, Brenda B. Zealy, a very special niece; special nephew and niece, Jerry and Pat Sikes of Claxton; numerous other loving friends and his loving companion, Jax.
Predeceased: son, Daniel Craig Bowen and a beloved nephew, William (Willie) Leamon Bowen 39 years ago, who was like a brother; parents, Maggie Holland and Wright William Bowen and all brothers and sisters with exception of Grady.
A private graveside service was held on Wednesday, July 1, in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery with The Reverend Warren H. "Buddy" Cribb officiating, accompanied by Brother, Emmit Wilcox and Lee Fleming.
