Cassandra was born to Parents Solomon McGuire and Susannah Garrett McGuire. She was the third daughter.Updated Information: April 2013. Iam changing Cassandra's memorial from McGuire to Stubblefield now because,I have finally found the resting place of Cassandra McGuire , married name Stubblefield. Cassandra came west to Oregon and Washington with her sister Margaret Peggy Jane McGuire Neville. Cassandra was not married. She was an older lady at the time she had come to Oregon Washington states from Iowa. A brother to Cassandra and Margaret P. J. McGuire Neville, was Barton Anderson McGuire, he had moved west also. Barton lived in Walla Walla Washington with his second wife Ellen Murphy Self McGuire. Cassandra had lived with the mother Susannah Garrett McGuire previously in Batavia , Iowa. Susannah died in 1866 and was buried there. Cassandra the lived with another brother Hardin Harry McGuire, and another family in Iowa , 1870 census. Sister Margaret had moved to Oregon 1870. Margaret, Barton and Cassandra were living close together for a time.NOTE; February 2013 research Cassandra I have learned met a widower, Joseph L. Stubblefield. They married and lived in Walla Walla , Washington area. Mr. Stubblefield was a well to do farmer. This is a seperate story. I have now finally solved the mystery of Cassandra after 6 years search. Cassandra's cemetery stone verifying her birth date and death date. Therefore the age confusion is now solved. Cassandra died at the age of 86 according to Washington Death Record
She died of Cancer according to medical records .
She would have been 87 December 3 1905.
Her mother Susannah Garrett McGuire is buried in Batavia cemetery. I have a record of Susannah's burial and photo of her cemetery stone. Susannah is my 4th great grandmother. Cassandra is my ancestry Aunt.I would like Cassandra to be connected to her parents and her brothers and sisters in the Find A Grave family
She is now being conected to her husband Joseph L. Stubblefield as his second wife.New information December 7,2016 coming.There has been some speculation ,she lived to be in her 90's but I have no firm record.There are two records of Cassandra in the 1870 Iowa Federal census record. Her age is about 50.She is listed as Cassie,in the home of George Neville and wife Indiana Rounsavellle Neville and their family in Wapello County, Iowa, and a record afew days later Cassanna is in the home of her brother Hardin Harry McGuire and his family in Agency ,Wapello,Iowa./More story information I will be adding soon.....Delores
