Marion Edwin Tyus, 89, of 403 Galphin Drive, died Oct. 25, 2003.

Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late Marion E. Tyus and Ethel Evans Tyus. He was retired as a self-employed Business Investor.

Survivors are his wife, Laura Drake Tyus of Greenville; two daughters, Teresa Lemoine and her husband Joe of Lafayette, La., and Heidi Porter and her husband Joe of Taylors; two sons, Marion Tyus III and his wife Vickie of Loganville, Ga., and Marvin Tyus of Duluth, Ga.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be today, Oct. 27, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park immediately following the service.

The family will be at 102 Huntcliff Drive in Taylors.
