Benjamin was the son of John born 1709 and Elizabeth Blomefield in Norfolk which refers to North Folks. Bedingham is located on the eastern shore of England. He had at least two brothers; John born 1738, James born 1750 and one sister, Susannah, born 1747. Benjamin married Elizabeth Walker on 29 Oct 1776. She was born about 1743. They had at three sons William Walker 1778, taking his mother's maiden name; John born 1780 and Benjamin who wasn't baptized but died in -1782 all born in Beccles. The son Benjamin may have died at birth. They later moved to Norfolk and Benjamin and his father are listed in the Norfolk Poll Books (tax) as freeholders (one who holds property) in Bedingham.
