James Kilpatrick Dies In Hospital

James B. Kilpatrick, 79, 218 Forest NW, died of complications following a stroke at 10:14 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Hospital, where he had been a patient a month.
Born here Feb. 7, 1884, he was the son of Alec and Lucy Latimer Kilpatrick. In 1910 he married Hulda Waggoner, who survives.
A life long resident of Warren, he was retired from the Republic Steel Corp. in 1954. Mr. Kilpatrick once owned a confectionery store on N. Park Ave.
Besides his wife, he leaves four sons, Robert J., George H., James M. and Floyd E. Kilpatrick, all of Warren; a sister, Mrs. Burr Thompson of Warren; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A half-sister, Mrs. Mattie Slater, a brother, Frank Kilpatrick and a half-brother, John Shaffer preceded him in death.
Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the White Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crown Hill Burial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
