Thomas was born in Pennsylvania, the younger children were born in Delaware. In 1930 Leslie, 28, and Margaret, 28, were living at 1507 Claymont St. with children Margaret, 11, Thomas, 9, Leslie Jr., 7, and Michael, 5. The children were born in Delaware. Young Margaret was the only surviving child of Margaret and Leslie's older brother Thomas, who was killed by an exploding mine in France shortly after the war's end.
