Margaret was the daughter of Michael and Catherine (Ketner) Zickgraf. Maggie was born on Davis St., the daughter and sixth child of Michael, 34, and Kate, 32, (Keltner) Zickgraf. Her parents were born in Germany. Margaret was survived by her husband Leslie Davis. Thomas J. Davis, 21, a truck driver, and Margaret Zickgraf, 16, were married August 19, 1917 in Wilmington, Delaware. Thomas enlisted in the Army July 2, 1917 and served in the battles of the Meuse and Argonnes offensive. Thomas was killed by an exploding mine in France January 22, 1919. Margaret later married his younger brother Leslie.

Later records have date of birth as January 21, 1902, but birth records show date of birth as January 22, 1902.
