Died in a tragic accident near her home in Mooresville, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her brother Larry.BUSH, Janet Long time resident of Petaluma, died in a tragic accident near her home in Mooresville, North Carolina on Tuesday, September 5, 2006. Janet was born on February 5, 1950 in Westhope, North Dakota. She is survived by her devoted husband Richard Bush D.D.S., of Mooresville, North Carolina, her son Timothy Becker of Petaluma and daughter Amy Reilly and her husband Matt of Moorseville, North Carolina, stepmother to Dan, Joe and Jon Bush. Beloved grandmother to Courtney, Kelsey and Carly Reilly. Step-grandmother to Dannielle Graves and her husband Dave and Scott Bush and his wife Kelly. Great-grandmother to Zander Bush. Also survived by her parents Cecil and Lillian Dixon of Rohnert Park; brother Murray Dixon and his wife Judy; sisters Joleen Bear and her husband Oland; Carrie Hance and her husband Richard; and Lori Rugg and her husband Brad. She was preceded in death by her brother Larry. Janet was adored and loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Janet moved with her family from North Dakota to Marin County in 1952. In 1962 they moved to a small farm in Petaluma. She graduated from Petaluma High and married John Becker in 1968. Their son Timothy was born at Hamilton Air Force Base in Novato. They were stationed in Laredo, Texas and the Azores, where their daughter Amy was born. In 1972 the family returned to Petaluma. Janet and John divorced in 1974. After a nine year courtship, Janet married her loving husband Dick in 1984. They continued to live in Petaluma until 2003 when Dick retired from his dental practice and moved to North Carolina to be near their daughter and grandchildren. Janet was very involved in her grandchildren's sport, and other activities. They were her life! She was loved and known by everyone as Nana. Janet's favorite place in the world was Disneyland. She made many trips there with her family. She had an extensive collection of Disney figurines. Janet also loved to spend her time gardening, traveling and planning parties for family and friends. Her unexpected death has left a huge void in the lives of everyone she knew. She will be in our thoughts and prayers forever. We will miss her dearly. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at Pleasant Hill Mortuary, 1700 Pleasant Hill Road, Sebastopol on Saturday, September 9 at 11:00 a.m.
