Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Wittneben, 81, of Rt. 1, Richmond, were held Friday, March 24, at 2 p.m. from the Peace American Lutheran Church in Rosenberg.

Mrs. Wittneben passed away Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital in Richmond where she had been confined for about five days. She was born on December 7, 1885 in Welcome to Henry and Laura Eben. She was married to Willie Wittneben on Jan. 23, 1908 in the Welcome Lutheran Church. She and her husband moved to Fort Bend County in 1916.

Survivors include her husband, Willie Wittneben of Richmond; seven sons, Franklin of Needville, Edgar of Welcome, Arthur of Houston, Gilbert of Freeport, and Raymond, Henry Lee, and Willie Jr. of Rosenberg; six daughters, Mrs. Laura Duesterhoft of Damon, Mrs. Elda Bialas of Damon, Mrs. Marie Peveto of Beaumont, Mrs. Esther Gross of Sugar Land, Mrs. Helen Hartfiel of Rosenberg, and Mrs. Selma Muegge of Rosenberg; 31 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Walter and Fred Eben of Welcome, and Albert Eben of Richmond.

Pallbearers were her grandsons.

Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery at Rosenberg, under the direction of Garmany and Co. Funeral Directors, Rosenberg.
