Kansas Anne Cuzzort was born in Crawford County, on May 20, 1866, the daughter of Joseph K. & Mary Elizabeth Roberson Landiss, and died November 21, 1938, at the age of 72 years and six months.
She was married to Abner Pickett Cuzzort on November 21, 1883, who preceded her in death on August 6, 1936. To this union were born three daughters, Nora, Kodie and Belva, and one son, Clyde Cuzzort, of New Albany. Two sisters, Mrs. Henry C. (Sarah Jane) Roberson, of Grantsburg, and Mrs. George (Minnie) Longest, of Allentown, Ill., also survived, besides seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Throughout her life she either lived in the town of English or its nearby vicinity, being a descendant of pioneer Indiana families.
The last two years of her life were filled with pain and physical discomfort. As the end approached she assured those attending her of her willingness to go and death came as easily as a gentle sleep.
Funeral services were held Wednesday by Rev. M. W. Roberson. Burial was in the English Cemetery.
