Nora E. Childs, daughter of Abner & Kansas Landiss Cuzzort, of English, Indiana and wife of Leo N. Childs, of Salem, Oregon, died at their home on Thursday, September 6, 1917.
Her age was 32 years, 8 months and 8 days, a tiny infant passed away with her.
The funeral services for the two loved ones were held in Salem, Oregon at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 8, 1917.
Nora had lived in Salem since 1911. On July 28, 1913 she became the wife of Leo N. Childs, of Salem, Oregon, and then began a beautiful home-life and that had continued to grow in happiness and contentment until deaths visit.
That life that passed away was young in years but in the few years had been well spent. Nora not only spent her time in preparing for full life but she lived a full useful life year after year. She thought and did things in a big way.
She had graduated as a nurse and her best education came though living in the world and taking hold of the responsibilities that were with a master's hand.
Nora was a Christian young woman and sought the peace and comfort that comes from abiding and ever increasing faith in love and wisdom of God.
The lost one leaves her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Abner Cuzzort, of English, Indiana; her husband, two sisters, Mrs. Noble Denbo, of near English, Indiana, and Miss Belva Cuzzort, who has a position in the department of education, Washington, D.C., one brother, Clyde Cuzzort, of English, Indiana, who was visiting his sister at the time of her death.
