Isabella "Issy" Nuss, 90, died March 21 at Cherry Village Nursing Home, Great Bend. She was born March 2, 1923, in Rush County, the daughter of Carl and Martha (Tammen) Schneider. She married Vernon L. Nuss June 16, 1946, at Great Bend. He died Dec. 27, 1992.
Mrs. Nuss was a lifetime Great Bend resident. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was a member of the Altar Guild for 32 years, and Telephone Pioneers.
She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Schneider; two sisters, Eleonore Nuss and Dolores Schneider; and a devoted family friend, Willie Jones.
A funeral service is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 25, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Great Bend with the Rev. James A. Strasen and Pastor Scott Tempero officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend. Visitation is scheduled from 1-9 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6-7 p.m. Sunday at Bryant Funeral Home.
