Dolores M. Schneider, 86, of Great Bend died Nov. 23 at Central Kansas Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 6, 1919, in Rush County, the daughter of Carl W. and Martha Augusta Tammen Schneider, Jr. A lifetime resident of Great Bend.
She was a telephone operator, instructor and supervisor for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co., retiring after 38 years.
Ms. Schneider was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Great Bend and an Honorary Member of Telephone Pioneers of America.
She was baptized Jan. 18, 1920, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Albert and confirmed April 14, 1935.
Survivors include one sister, Isabella Nuss of Great Bend; one nephew, Mark Schneider of Pratt; and a great-niece, Danielle Hott of Centennial, Colo.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Schneider, one sister, Eleonore Nuss, and one niece, Magdelene Hott.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Great Bend, with the Rev. James A. Strasen officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Great Bend. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church in care of the funeral home.
