Mrs. G. C. McCarty
Mrs. Clara Sparks McCarty, 84, wife of G. C. McCarty and a resident of Leesville for the past nine years, died at 4:45 a.m. today at her home there following a stroke suffered some seven weeks ago.

She was born in Rose Twp., Carroll Co., December 22, 1869, the daughter of Ephriam and Mary Jane Ricketts Sparks and she and her husband resided in Alliance 45 years before moving to Leesville. She was a member of the Leesville Methodist Church.

Surviving are the husband; two sisters, Mrs. Kitty Fierbaugh of Cleveland and Mrs. Belva Gray of Massillon; and two brothers, Kennedy Sparks of Uhrichsville and Thomas Sparks of Leesville. Three brothers and two sisters are deceased.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. (fast time) at the Boor Funeral Home in Bowerston with Rev. R. A. Marty officiating. Burial will be in Leesville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
