Thomas W. Sparks
Thomas W. Sparks, 71, of Leesville ended his own life yesterday morning by shooting himself with a rifle, according to Carroll County authorities. The body was found at 3 p.m. by a brother-in-law, Clem McCarthy (sic), at the rear of the home they shared.
Mr. Sparks, a bachelor and a lather in the building field, had been in failing health. He was born near Leesville, a son of Ephriam and Mary J. Rickets (sic) Sparks. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Kittie Fierbaugh of South Euclid and Mrs. Belva Gray of Massillon, and a brother, J. K. Sparks of Uhrichsville.
Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Boor Funeral Home at Bowerston. Burial will be in Leesville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after Wednesday noon.
