HEALY — Ray Mumma, 87, died March 25, 1996, at Lane County Long Term Care Unit in Dighton. He was born Aug. 22, 1908, in Lane County, the son of Martin A. and Martha Hobbs Mumma. He lived his early years in Garnett and attended Garnett schools.

A resident of Lane County since 1923, he owned and operated Healy Oil Co. for 50 years. On Nov. 22, 1929, he married Lorene Markwell at Burdett. She survives. Other survivors include: two granddaughters, Kathy Britt and Regina Comer, and six grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church in Healy, with the Rev. Nicholas T. Woods presiding. Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Boomhower Funeral Home, Dighton. Burial will be in the Healy Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Lane County Long Term Care Unit or to the Healy United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
