Becca Bonds, 12, passed away Tuesday night, November 18, 2008, at North Colorado Medical Center inpatient hospice unit after a lengthy illness.
She was born March 19, 1996, in Mesa, AZ, to Darryl and Barbara Bonds. At the time of her death, Becca was a sixth grader at Weldon Valley School. The Bonds family has lived in the Weldona Valley community for the past six years.
Becca was a very energetic, interesting young lady. She cared more about others than herself, she was the social butterfly at school, and enjoyed spending time with her friends, especially having sleep-overs. She enjoyed participating in basketball, volleyball, and swimming. She most enjoyed spending her time with animals of all types.
Survivors include her parents; one sister, Allie and one brother, Stetson both of Weldona; grandparents, Roger and Linda Bruntz of Weldona, Ted and Frances Wing of Parker, CO, Terry and Denise Bonds of Scottsdale, AZ; and her great-grandparents, Rex and Loretta Wing of Weir, KS, Deloris Lisco and Harold Seeger both of Aurora, CO.
A celebration service of Becca s life was held at her most favorite location Riverside Park in Fort Morgan by the duck pond.
The service was at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 and concluded at the Park.
Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or to Hospice & Palliative Care of North Colorado c/o Heer Mortuary.
The Heer Mortuary and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
