Sharon was born in Kintyre on July 6, 1949 to Alvin and Alice Kemmet. The family lived in several cities in North Dakota including Napoleon, Hazelton, Carrington, Tioga, Washburn, and Glen Ullin. She graduated from High School in Glen Ullin. Sharon subsequently completed a degree from Capital Commercial College in Bismarck. She was one of first North Dakota Female National Guard Technicians in the state. Going on to serve in the North Dakota Army National Guard for over 20 years and concluding her service at the rank of Chief Warrant Officer III.
She was co-sponsor with her husband Cliff in creating the North Dakota National Guard Explorer Post. An avid bowler, she served as league secretary for several seasons. Sharon enjoyed gardening, raising birds, collecting pens, fishing, and working with computers. She held a special place in her heart for young children and animals.
She is survived by her husband Clifford Keller, Bismarck; daughter Michelle Keller, Annandale, VA; (from her first marriage), her older brother Darold (Cheryl) Kemmet, Bismarck; her nieces Jennifer Kemmet, Bismarck, and Joy (Gary) Beeter and their three children Macy, Hailey, and Jadon, Fargo.
She was preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Alice Kemmet, Bismarck.
The family prefers memorials sent to North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan.
