Lincoln County, Tennessee Marriage Records 1838-1880
E.G. Bevill m. Lucinda E. Holt Oct 6, 1856 LCT
They got the license Sept 22, 1856.
Elisha Green Bevels (1837-1915), died at Kelso, Lincoln Co., Tenn and his death certificate says that he is buried in Clardyville, an old time name for Dellrose. The obituary of his wife, Elizabeth Holt Bevels (1841-1925), says that she was buried at Shiloh. Shiloh Methodist Cemetery was on land where the Clardyville grist mill was once located, two or three miles east of present day Dellrose. It seems they are buried at the same cemetery, which appears to be probably the Old Section of Shiloh Cemetery.
It is possible that Elisha Green Bevels (1837-1915)
and wife, Elizabeth Holt Bevels (1841-1925) are buried in graves marked by fieldstones or have gravestones that are sunken, broken and/or unreadable.
Some of their children are buried in this same cemetery and their tombstones are readable.
[A Find A Grave volunteer reported a problem with a tombstone photo request for Elisha Bevels, saying,"I searched the entire cemetery and could not find the grave. Specifically: Several markers are unreadable in the Bevels area."]
