Job was a patriot in the American Revolution.

He enlisted on 28 Jul 1780 as a Private in Capt. Matthew Randall's Company, Col. Abiel Mitchell's Regiment. He served for 3 months and 6 days. He was discharged on 31 Oct 1780.

He also served on a 40 day Expedition on 6 Mar 1781. He marched for 9 days to Rhode Island.

He commenced a pension on 4 Mar 1831 and was placed on the Pension Roll 18 Sep 1833.

It is believed that he was a son of Joseph Packard & Sarah Johnson.

He married Eunice Babb.
