Ida Stover Eisenhower was born in Mount Sidney, Virginia, the only daughter of Elizabeth Ida Judah Link (1822–1867) and Simon P. Stover (1822–1873).
In September 1885, she married David Jacob Eisenhower, in
Lecompton, KS.
In the 1890's, Mrs. Eisenhower joined the International Bible Student's Association, as Jehovah's Witnesses were then known, and stayed active in the ministry work of Jehovah's Witnesses, even using her home for the local congregation's Bible study meetings.
