Mrs. Bell was a native of Calhoun County and a longtime resident of the Gulf Coast. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church of Biloxi where she held numerous positions. She worked at the Biloxi VA and retired from Popp's Ferry Elementary School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sarvie Bell; a son, Stanley Doyle Bell; parents, Claude and Era Moore; two sisters, Madeline Hair and Ludene Talent; a brother, E.D. Moore; and a grandchild, Valarie Dawn Helm.
Survivors include one son, Kevin B. Bell of Wasco, Calif.; three daughters, Claudie DePew of Gulfport, Darly Helm of Biloxi and Kelly McDaniel of Saucier; three sisters, Mary Tutor of Vardaman, Neely Angle of Bruce, and Jimmie Hawkins of Calhoun City; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Riemann Funeral Home, 25th Avenue in Gulfport. Burial will be in Biloxi Creek Church Cemetery in Stone County.
The family prefers memorials to Quality Hospice of the Gulf Coast, 999 Howard Ave., Suite 1, Biloxi, MS 39530.
