SPRINGWATER - Helen O. Wright, 94, went to be with our Lord Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, at the Conesus Lake Nursing Home.
Helen was born Feb. 6, 1911, in Springwater, a daughter of Douglas and Minnie (May) O'Dell.
She was a life-long resident of Springwater and was a retired teacher of the Wayland Central School District. She also taught several years at St. Joseph's Catholic School in Wayland. She was predeceased by her sister Gladys Ash and son Harold P. Wright at the age of nine.
Helen is survived by her five children, who will miss her greatly: Charles (Eileen) Wright of Ocala, Fla., Douglas (Linda) Wright of Euless, Texas, Bonnie Fischer of Ocala, Fla., Ruth (John) Malone of Livonia Center and Steven Wright of South Livonia; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and very dear friends Ray and Liz Struble of Webster's Crossing and Marie Woods of Dansville.
Friends called 12-2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6 at the Walter E. Baird & Sons Funeral Home, 100 E. Naples St., Wayland, where funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Burial was in Erwin Cemetery, Springwater.
