Robert Lash, Sr. was a Boston ship builder, member of Old North Church, member of the Sons of Liberty and participant in the Boston Tea Party. By virtue of his Tea Party participation, he was ascribed ancestor #P-334348 by the SAR on 16 Sep 2015.
Robert was born to Nicholas and Elizabeth (Skillings) Lash and was baptized in Boston on 28 Jun 1741. He first married Joannah Brown on 9 Feb 1764. She died in 1771. He second married Jurusha Baker in King's Chapel, Boston, on 25 Dec 1776. He died on 4 Oct 1818 and was buried two days later in his son's tomb under Old North Church, in Crypt #4.
Robert was a good friend of Paul Revere and often entertained him in his home, as recollected by his granddaughter Rebecca Snelling Lash in an article published about her recollections in celebration of her 96th birthday, in The Boston Journal of 23 October 1899. She lived to age 99 and is buried in Everett.
