At the time of his death, he was buried in Milan, IL, but his remains were later moved to Chippiannock Cemetery, probably by his daughter, Lydia Huyett.
Husband of Mary Crum; they were married 29 Oct 1811 at Manor Hill, Huntingdon Co., PA. They were the parents of nine children. Mary Crum Adams died 13 Jun 1829 in Alexandria, Huntingdon Co. PA. About 1830, Joseph Adams married Mary Roller.
Joseph Adams was the oldest son of Jacob Adams and his first wife, Catharine Hoy. Their other two children were Mary Adams born about 1786, and James Adams born about 1790. Catharine Hoy Adams died between 1790 and 1793, probably in Armagh Township, Mifflin Co. PA.
