The seventh child born to Bessie and Jim Drew. Sadie grew up in San Saba, Texas and married Sorrell Smith. They had three young children. Sadie's life ended in a deadly car crash in May of 1946. Her sister, Adelle, and her young son, Wesley, also died in the tragic accident. She left behind a two young children, Barbara Ann, Jerry Don and her husband, Sorrell.
