Juanita Lickey, age 91, of Trenton, MO went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 17, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Whitaker Eads Funeral Home in Trenton, MO. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery of Trenton. A visitation is scheduled from 1:00 until service time Wednesday. Memorial donations are suggested to either the First Baptist Church or Maple Grove Cemetery and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.

She was born on December 27, 1921, at Half Rock, MO, the daughter of George and Zana Otelier Barnett. In 1939 she graduated from Trenton High School as Salutatorian. She married Ed Lickey on June 1, 1941. Ed passed away on Dec. 18, 2004. She was proud of her time spent as an election official.Juanita was very active in her church and Sunday school class and was also interested in the history of the bible as well as politics. Lately she was interested in ancient history including art and architecture.

Juanita was a member of First Baptist Church where her latest job was prayer chain coordinator. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed whenever she could see them.

Juanita is survived by one son, Nolan Lickey and wife Ann, of Orem, Utah, one daughter-in-law, Beth Lickey, of Fulton, MO, 3 grandchildren, Jay Lickey and wife, Emily of Leavenworth, KS, Adam Lickey and wife, Leslie, of Murfreesboro, TN, Brian Lickey and wife Greta, of Orem, Utah, 7 great-grandchildren, Karis, Eli, Luke, and Silas Lickey of Murfreesboro, TN, Ty and Paige Lickey of Leavenworth, and Hunter Lickey of Orem, Utah, one sister, Mildred Perrin of Leavenworth, KS, one sister-in-law, Dorothy Lickey of Newton, IA and several nieces and nephews.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ed Lickey, her son, Mark Lickey, and her brother-in-law, Leo Lickey.
