Marcia was born Aug. 27, 1916 in Springwater, a daughter of Seth and Marguerite (Carney) Swarts.
She was the widow of Russell G. Howard; he predeceased her on September 14, 1998.
Marcia was a retired secretary from Bausch & Lomb in Rochester.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by a brother, Glen Swarts.
She was a member of the Lake Alfred Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Richard (Jewell) Persons of Nicholls, Ga.; one step-daughter, Gloria Fleitman of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and one stepson, Gerald Howard of W. Palm Beach, Fla.; three grandsons, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, one sister, Dorothy Bagg of Warsaw; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Walter E. Baird & Sons Funeral Home, 300 West Naples St., Wayland, where funeral services will be held at the conclusion of calling. Burial will be in Erwin Cemetery, Springwater.
