Good Citizen Dead
Ed Eaton, who lived in the Horn neighborhood, west of town, died Tuesday night of hemorrage of the lungs. He was buried yesterday in New Hope Cemetery at 2 o'clock, the funeral being conducted by Elder A. Yancy at the grave. He leaves a wife, several children and a host of friends to mourn his loss. Last Saturday Mr. Eaton was in town about as well as he had been for sometime and Sunday he took sick and the effort of physicians could do nothing to stay the hand of death. This county had no better citizen than Mr. Eaton, and this community will miss him. He leaves those dependent on him in comfortable circumstances. To his bereaved wife and children the Standard joins a host of friends in extending sympathy.
