Merle A. Haddox, 84, of Munhall, formerly of Beaver Falls, died Saturday, March 16, 2013. Born and raised in Beaver Falls, he was the son of the late Orin and Ruth Haddox. He was the beloved husband of Ruth (Burke) Haddox and the late Virginia Haddox; father of Robert Haddox and Thomas Haddox; stepfather of Janet Burke Wolford, Marcia Burke Rurak and Melissa Burke Majestic; brother of Madeline Steiner, David Haddox, Naomi Snedeker and the late Harold Haddox and Thelma Rae Clark; stepgrandfather of six; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Merle was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the Army and he was also a retired steelworker. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME INC., 3501 Main St., Munhall, where a blessing service will be held at 8 p.m. A committal service and military honors will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, 922 Sunflower Road, Rochester, PA 15074.
