John Simpson and his wife Hannah owned a tract of land in Halifax County, Virginia consisting of 80 acres on the waters of Runaway Creek, bounded by the lines of Joshua Compton, Cajah Wyatt, Benjamin Soving, Joel Tucker.
After John's death, the land and its appurtenences were sold to John Stone, Jr. of Halifax County.
A deed for the land was written January 31, 1800, and signed by John's widow Hannah and their children/heirs.
The deed was brought to Halifax Court (Virginia) 28 July 1800 and recorded.
It appears in Halifax County, Virginia Deed Book 18, page 395, dated January 31, 1800.
