Mrs. Twila P. (Knisley) Claar, 60, of Claysburg RD 1 died Monday, Dec. 30, 1985, in her home. Mrs. Claar retired from Veeder-Root in 1978. A service was held Wednesday in the Upper Claar Church of the Brethren by the Rev. Rodney Thomas. Burial was in the Upper Claar Cemetery. She was born Feb. 20, 1925, in Kimmel Township a daughter of Steward A. and Julia Elizabeth (Corle) Knisely and on July 13, 1944, married Dale E. Claar who died Oct. 3, 1976. Mrs. Claar was a member of the Upper Claar Church of the Brethren, Claysburg RD. Surviving are four children: Larry M. Claar, Joyce E. Corle, Connie L. Malovich and Rickey E. Claar of Claysburg RD 1; and nine grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters: Laverne Roudabush, Lillian Allison, Delma Acker and Velores Hildebridle of Claysburg RD.

Four people were treated for

accident at 11:22 a.m Monday at
the intersection of Route 764 and
Burns Avenue
State police said Trisha Corle 1,
Jody Corle 9 both of Claysburg
rd 1 Twila Claar 54 of Claysburg
rd 1 and Edwin F. Relly of 416 Lolz
Ave. Lakemont was treated at
Mercy Hospital
police said the car driven by Joyce
E. Corle 32 of Claysburg Rd 1
was traveling south on 764 and while
turning right on Burns Ave. was struck
by a truck traveling west on Burns Ave.
the truck operated by Edwin F Relly Jr.
pulled away from the stop sign on Burns Ave.
across the intersection and struck
Corle's Vehicle broadside
The Corle vehicle struck a pothole
at the edge of the road and tipped onto
its roof
Twila Claar was a passenger in the
corle vehicle was freed from the
wreckage by the Allegheny Township
Fire Company Rescue Squad
Police said Edwin Relly will be cited
from the stop sign violation Damage
estimates were not available for police.
Twila's and Joyce's injury's were contusion
of Elbow and back struin
