Lillian R. Allison, 89, Claysburg, passed away Friday at Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring.
She was born in Queen, daughter of the late Steward and Julia (Corle) Knisely. She married Fred A. Allison on June 27, 1942, in Cumberland, Md., and he passed away Feb. 2, 1994.
Surviving are two daughters: Shirley A. Harr and husband, Clair, of East Freedom and Linda Ickes and husband, Alan, of Osterburg; two sons: Frank L. "Butch" Sr. of Claysburg and Randy S. and wife, Rose, of Hyndman; 20 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Veloris Heldibridle and Delma Acker, both of Claysburg.
She was preceded in death by a son, Fred A. Jr.; a daughter, Florence C. Claar; two sisters: Laverne Roudabush and Twila Claar; and a brother, Ken Knisely.
Lillian was a member of Upper Claar Church of the Brethren. She huckstered in the Altoona area during the 1960s and 1970s and previously worked at Loungeray, Hollidaysburg. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today and 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at Upper Claar Church of the Brethren, Pastor Greg Quintrell officiating. Interment will be at Greenfield Cemetery.
